Abre acts as a town square for all things in education. As parents, students, and staff start their day with Abre Announcements, school leadership has a unique opportunity to reach every single eye. Join our guest Missy Knight, communication coordinator for the Finneytown Local School District, as we learn best practices for engaging with all the stakeholders in your school and district.

  • Best practices for distributing information to all stakeholders. A particular focus on the workflows used to simplify communication channels like district website, social media accounts, and mail lists.
  • Ideas on how announcements and headlines can be used to achieve school and district objectives. For example: Providing information on levy campaigns or working with staff members on compliance training.

Announcements are short articles tailored to the invididual stakeholder. For examples, parents might see announcements that pertain to their students at a particular school.


Headlines are KEY announcements that take over the screen thereby focusing the attention of the reader.
